Boat Overview

Gwendoline is a beautiful 60ft x 13ft Dutch Barge built by Piper in 2017. She is fitted with a Beta Marine 105HP inboard diesel engine, 6 berths, and a bow thruster.


Quality and Design

Piper have an unrivalled reputation for constructing top quality craft and Gwendoline is an exemplary example of their craftsmanship and build quality. She enjoys a high level of equipment, making her a true off grid live-aboard, and is been fitted out with high end fixtures and fittings. Gwendoline is a C class boat so can navigate inshore coastal waters. She is a capable craft with both bow and stern thrusters for enhanced manoeuvrability.


Wheelhouse

Entering the boat, the wheelhouse is a welcoming area with a sturdy solid wood table, double glazed windows with clever integrated blinds and heating. The boat's control panel is laid out clearly with the bow and stern thruster controls, Raymarine chart plotter, Raymarine speed log / depth gauge, Raymarine VHF, and Sony CD / radio. The wheelhouse seating converts into a double berth. The boat's solar panels are mounted on the wheelhouse roof.


Main Accommodation

Stairs from the wheelhouse descend into the main accommodation of the boat. To portside, the utility room featuring Bosch washing machine and Bosch dryer leads onto the second heads which has a solid surface moulded wash basin, pump out toilet, and shower. Moving forward, the open plan galley and saloon are a light bright, social area. The galley enjoys a Bosch 5 ring gas hob, Bosch oven, full size integrated fridge, integrated freezer, integrated Bosch slimline dishwasher, large Astini sink with mixer tap, breakfast bar, and generous storage. Opposite the galley, there is further storage with an integrated drinks fridge. The saloon is a comfortable area which features a large rooflight, television cabinet, storage cabinets, radiators, and the boat's diesel stove. The corner sofa converts into a double berth.


Shower Room and Bedroom

Forward of the saloon is the large main shower room which benefits from a large shower enclosure with glass screen, pump-out toilet, storage cabinet, chrome towel rail, and stylish moulded wash basin that matches the galley worksurfaces. The main bedroom enjoys, what can only be described as, exceptional storage with numerous drawers, cupboards, and wardrobes. The raised double berth has reading lights and a Houdini hatch skylight above that enhances the natural light in the room.


Engine Room

The engine room contains the beating heart of the boat, the Beta Marine 105HP diesel engine. There is easy access to the engine room from the wheelhouse. The engine room is clean, tidy, and well ordered. The Matervolt combi inverter / charger, Matervolt isolation transformer are sited to starboard side, with the Kohler generator, Kabola diesel boiler, and calorifier on the port side of the room.
